The National Weather Service forecasts accumulating snowfall between 10 and 20 inches starting Tuesday afternoon and ending Wednesday. For this reason, there is a strong likelihood that all Week 5 dodgeball games (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights) will be postponed until the week of March 2, 2010. That is, all Week 5 games will be now be Week 9 Games.
We will send out announcements and post updates on the AASL homepage at 2:00 PM each day regarding evening games of that day. Games will be cancelled whenever (1) the outside Metro service is also cancelled or (2) Sports & Health club closes its facilities on any particular day.

WINTER DODGEBALL KICK-OFF HAPPY HOUR:
Friday, January 8 @ Mister Days in the loft from 6-9 p.m.
SEASON:
Each team will play 7 regular season games. The season begins Tuesday, January 12 and Wednesday, January 13 and goes through the week of February 23. Games times will range from 6 – 9:15 p.m. start times. Play-offs will be held Sunday, March 7. The number of teams that make it to the play-offs will be determined by the AASL.
CONFERENCES:
For AASL Dodgeball, there are 2 conferences--ATHLETIC and SOCIAL. The ATHLETIC conference is for teams and players who are more competitive. The SOCIAL conference is for more recreational play.
The SOCIAL conference plays PRIMARILY on Tuesday AND Thursday nights at the various locations. The ATHLETIC conference plays PRIMARILY on Wednesday nights at the various locations.
MAKE-UPS:
If a game is cancelled due to inclement weather, make-up games may be scheduled on another day than usual game days or made up the week after the regular season ends. Blast emails will be sent to the coaches when games are cancelled, it will be posted on the website, or you can call Megan at (703) 599-2983.

FEES:
The charge will be $600.00 per team BUT there will be no additional fees for the number of players. The charge for individuals will be $65.00. You may pay by cash, check or pay online. If you pay online you receive a discount. Checks must be made out to AASL.
The league fee includes, 7 games in the AASL dodgeball league, 1 AASL referee per court, all equipment, AASL dodgeball t-shirts for every participant and Miller Lite specials after the games.
The $250.00 deposit will be collected at the coaches meeting or online. The remainder of their balance will be collected at their first game if you haven’t already paid in full online. If the team does not have the remainder of their balance, they will not be allowed to play until they do so and that will count as a forfeit.
If you pay in full online for your team, you receive a $25 discount and your team fee will only be $575! If you pay online as an individual, your fee is only $60.
